Disabled Facilities

We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients. There is wide access through the main door which is automatic and we have a wheelchair available for use in surgery. There are no steps to access the Practice and there is a ramp for wheelchairs.  The Practice has a lift to all floors making access easier for all patients, but we ask patients to make the reception team aware if they need help with mobilising or accessing the Practice whilst they are here.

Hearing Difficulties

If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room. There is a loop hearing facility at the Practice, on entering we ask that hearing aids are turned to the T position.

Visual Difficulties

We recognise that our patients may need help due to visual difficulties.  Our Practice website has a facility whereby the user can change the font size, colour of font and remove pictures to enable better visual clarity.  Patients should click on the blue circuled icon to the side of the page.

Reading & Writing Difficulties

Please make our team aware if you have difficulites with reading and writing.  We will do our best for our patients and work together to find a resolution to the problem faced.  The Practice also has its booklet in larger font for patients that require larger print.  This can be accessed via the website  Seaside Medical Centre Booklet - Large Font
